Peter Hill (piano)
Peter Hill is one of the leading exponents of Messiaen’s piano works, and a leading authority on his music and life. He studied with Messiaen while making his complete recording of the solo piano music (Regis), a series which won numerous awards and has been described as ‘one of the most important solo recordings of recent years’ (New York Times). He is the co-author with Nigel Simeone of a ground-breaking biography of the composer (Messiaen, Yale University Press, 2005) based on research in the private Messiaen archive in Paris.
